Elaine, the longest-serving team member, joined Room to Grow in 2009 and has held roles in community relations, volunteer management, development, and site operations in the New York office, before transitioning to a creative position in design and communications in 2016. As Visual Design Lead, Elaine has come full circle to her interests in education and the arts, crafting the organization’s visual collateral and brand identity. She was previously the Associate Director of Alumni Affairs at School of Visual Arts (SVA), where her efforts included developing alumni benefits, programs, events, and exhibitions. Elaine is also a painter. She holds a Master’s in Fine Arts from School of Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from New York University. She loves to read, draw, solve puzzles, and spend time outdoors with her family.
