Darlenys Santana joined the Room to Grow team in July 2021 as a Bilingual Clinician on the Boston clinical team before transitioning to the New York clinical team in November 2021. Darlenys is dedicated to and passionate about supporting families in need and empowering them to reach their maximum potential. As a first-generation immigrant, Darlenys is a firm believer that with access to education and guidance, families can obtain the resources they need to achieve great success and become self-sufficient. Prior to joining Room to Grow, Darlenys worked with families in a wide range of settings, including nonprofit organizations, higher education, and mental health clinics. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Lehman College and was awarded a research HRSA grant to help improve and expand health care services for underserved people. In her free time, Darlenys enjoys traveling and learning about nutrition.
