Oscarina Pichardo, a first-generation Latina college student, was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She earned a master's degree in social work from York College/CUNY and has dedicated over a decade to serving others. During her time with the Department of Education, she supported families with children in grades four through twelve, helping them navigate challenging circumstances. She also worked closely with families of individuals with disabilities, providing assistance in group homes, nursing homes, and schools. 

Known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication, Oscarina has always embraced her calling as a caregiver, program liaison for at-risk children, and social worker addressing life’s complexities. Her commitment to encouragement and support drives her work and personal growth.

In her free time, Oscarina loves spending quality time with her family, exploring new cuisines, and enjoying outdoor activities. A dreamer at heart, she continually inspires herself by pursuing ambitious goals and celebrating her accomplishments.
