Anna Assenmacher is the principal and founder of Aries Consulting, a nonprofit consulting firm based in Chicago. She is an experienced leader in social impact with expertise in nonprofit management, board governance, philanthropy, organizational development, and operational strategy. Anna is also the founder of the North Shore Network, an executive women’s leadership group that fosters collaboration and innovation among female leaders.
Anna holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from Calvin University and a master's degree in women's and gender studies from DePaul University. She currently serves on the women’s board for the Joffrey Ballet, the board of trustees for the D39 Educational Foundation, and the Chicago Leadership Council for Room to Grow. Anna also served as president of the board for EverThrive Illinois, where she championed health equity initiatives for women, children, and families. In addition to her purpose-driven board leadership, Anna continues to serve in many mentoring, volunteering, and community engagement roles that advance social justice.
