Shaping the Future: An Interview with Curamia CEO Dafna Mizrahi

As we prepare for this year’s Annual Gala, we’re thrilled to highlight one of our key partners and libations sponsor, Curamia. Founded by Dafna Mizrahi, Curamia is a brand rooted in tradition, sustainability, and a passion for wellness. Not only will Curamia be joining us for the gala, but they are also partnering with Room to Grow for our upcoming year-end campaign, helping us continue our mission of supporting families and children.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Dafna to learn more about Curamia’s inspiring story and what makes their brand so unique.

Can you tell us a bit about Curamia Tequila? What inspired the founding of the brand?
Curamia Tequila was born from my passion for both my Mexican heritage and the art of authentic tequila-making. Growing up in Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila, I saw firsthand the craftsmanship that goes into creating a truly great tequila. I wanted to share that tradition with the world, but in a way that also embraces wellness and sustainability. Curamia is a reflection of that vision a tequila that is pure, additive-free, and produced with eco-conscious methods. It’s about offering an experience that feels good both physically and ethically, a tequila that you can feel proud to sip.

What makes Curamia Tequila unique in the world of tequila? How does Curamia strive to set a higher standard for transparency and quality?
Curamia stands out because we prioritize transparency and quality in everything we do. From our sustainable farming practices to our water-efficient distillation process, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint. Our tequila is completely free of additives, so you know that what you’re tasting is truly the essence of pure agave. We’re also proud to be a female-founded and funded brand, which sets us apart in a traditionally male-dominated industry. For us, it’s not just about making tequila, it’s about elevating the entire experience offering a spirit that is both exceptional in flavor and grounded in integrity.

What drew you to partner with Room to Grow for our Annual Gala?
I was drawn to partner with Room to Grow because of their commitment to supporting families and children during their most formative years. As someone who values community and growth, I felt a strong alignment between Curamia’s mission and the incredible work that Room to Grow is doing. The Annual Gala is an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate progress, and contribute to a brighter future for children. Curamia is about more than just tequila; it’s about connection and making a positive impact, which is why this partnership feels so meaningful.

What values does Curamia share with Room to Grow that made this partnership meaningful to you?
Curamia shares many of the same core values as Room to Grow particularly in the areas of integrity, community, and growth. We believe in the importance of operating with transparency and respect, both in business and in how we give back. Collaboration is also key to our ethos, whether it’s working with our partners or teaming up with organizations like Room to Grow. We’re passionate about helping others grow, and we feel that this partnership reflects our commitment to creating positive, lasting change.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers about your mission or what’s coming next for Curamia?
We’re incredibly excited about the journey ahead for Curamia. Our mission remains rooted in offering a tequila that not only tastes good but also feels good—whether that’s through our sustainable practices or the way we engage with our community. Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding Curamia’s presence and continuing to innovate in ways that align with our values. And of course, we’re thrilled to partner with Room to Grow for the year-end campaign and beyond, as we both work toward making a positive difference for future generations.

Together, with visionaries like Dafna and partners like Curamia, we can shape a future where families and communities thrive.
