Saskia Epstein
Chief Executive Officer

Saskia Epstein was appointed chief executive officer of Room to Grow National, Inc. in September 2011 and transitioned from her role as executive director of Room to Grow in Boston in spring 2012. As Room to Grow’s CEO, Saskia leads the organization’s efforts to fulfill its mission in New York City and Boston, as well as facilitate future expansion to additional cities. Saskia joined Room to Grow after dedicating her career to developing innovative programs serving vulnerable children, youth and families. She has served as a strategic consultant to many Boston non-profits and she co-founded the Brookline Teen Center. For more than a decade, Saskia directed child welfare programs at the Home for Little Wanderers. She started her career at City Year working in an elementary school and later went on to lead the organization’s expansion efforts in two cities. She also tutored and taught middle school students, and directed one of Citizen Schools’ first after-school programs. Currently, Saskia servess as the chair of Board of Trustees for the Children's Advocacy Center of Suffolk County and as a director of the Brookline Teen Center. She has served as an overseer for the Boston Children's Museum, on the board of the Children's Center, and as a member of the Child Welfare League of America's Residential Adivsory Committee. Saskia and her family support many of these and other nonprofit organizations through The Foundation to be Named Later. She lives in Brookline with her husband Paul, and two children.
